John Edwin Anejo hails from Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State. He obtained a Bachelor of law(LLB) at the Benue State University of Nigeria, where he graduated with a 2nd Class Upper Division, in 2006. In 2007, John proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos where he bagged a Barrister at Law qualifying certificate(BL) with another 2nd Class Upper Division.Thereafter, he pursued a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) at the University of Abuja and graduated in March 2019. John is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
Barr. Anejo started legal practice in November 2007 as a public counsel. He was appointed Special Assistant to Nigeria's Minister of Interior in November 2011 to May 29th, 2015.
Barr John was further appointed a Technical Assistant to the Vice Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Solid Minerals, a post he occupies till date.
John has undergone trainings in different countries, some of which are: International Law Institute, African Centre for Legal Excellence, Kampala, Uganda, 2009 and 2012; International Law Institute, Washington DC, USA, 2013; Peking University, Beijing China, 2012; Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea, 2012; Dispute Resolution Institute, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; International Civil Defence Organization, Geneva, Switzerland, among others.
John is a writer and has authored several books and research works among which are: The Wind of Change, Above Failure, The Price, The Secrets of Life, Appraisal of the Regulatory Framework for Protection of Nigera's environment. He is the Editor of "Ujoo k' Odum" (a journal on communal social engineering).
John brings his wealth of experience to bear on the organization as he advises on legal matters. Barr. Anejo is widely travelled. He has a special interest in Evangelism, Environment and Human Development.
He is married to Dr. Crystal Anejo and they are blessed with two Children.
